On April 20th, a team composed of Krannert graduate students: Kewa Mei, Christine Rasquinha, Mayank Gupta and Harprert Kaur took 3rd place at the Iowa MBA Business Analytics Case Competition hosted by the Tippie College of Business in Iowa City.
Competing against some of the brightest graduate analytics students in the country hailing from 16 institutions including but not limited to: Rice, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt and Rochester, the team was asked to perform a deep-dive analysis to solve a real-world business problem, considering multiple data points before making their recommendations to a panel of industry experts.
Now in its 2nd year of completion, The Iowa MBA Business Analytics Case Competition began in 2016 and aims to assist students in presenting to and receiving feedback from professionals while also contributing in the solution of real-life corporate challenges. In addition to offering a valuable experience, the goal is for participants to walk away as better problem solvers and critical thinkers.
