Yash graduated from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) University, Mumbai in 2014 with a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Telecommunications and a MBA in Technology Management and Finance. After his graduation, he joined Siemens Financial Services Pvt. Ltd. (SFSPL) as a sales executive where he generated more than $3 million in annual sales revenue and conducted credit and market risk assessment of the projects being funded. It’s here that he was first exposed to the importance of data analytics in driving business strategy, processes and decisions.
Yash’s data-mining and analysis efforts at SFSPL led to his division revamping their targeting strategy and this translated in a significant rise in revenue and a drop in turnaround time. He then joined Media.net, an ad-technology company, as a Sr. Business Development Specialist and worked as a business operations analyst. He led several teams of analysts to build revenue maximization strategies based on recent and historical data and trends.
Yash joined the Business Analytics and Information Management Master’s program at Purdue University to formally learn the tools and techniques employed in data analytics and visualization. He firmly believes in Peter Drucker’s quote “What gets measured, gets managed” and looks forward to using the business and analytics skills he picks up at the Krannert School of Management to help create data driven processes and solve business problems.
