Xiangyi (Sherry) Che received her bachelor’s degree in Business Economics and Accounting from University of California, Los Angeles. She then joined the Coca Cola Company in China as a Financial Analyst. During her time at Coca Cola, she gained experience with the full accounting cycle, performed financial modelling and analyzing on cross-functional projects to strengthen internal controls and developed integrative business plan. She also utilized the value of financial data in driving decision making and improving the company’s bottom line results.
Sherry recently graduated from University of Southern California Marshall School of Business with an MBA. During the MBA program, she became engaged with technology and fascinated by data science. She interned at Amgen as a Business Analyst; there she developed an internal corporate economy for pricing and chargeback information for a technology infrastructure that facilitated IT cost transparency, service value enhancement, and business alignment. In additional, she also worked as an external consultant for Netgear, where she explored the historical sales data and developed baseline forecasts models to support supply chain management. In the processes, she has continued to develop skills at the intersection of her professional interests and personal passions.
At Purdue, Sherry aims to enhance her technical skills and expand her exposure to the cutting-edge technologies and leading industry trends. She looks forward to a career of constant learning and intellectual challenges, while seeking the opportunity to leverage her skills and experience in finance and business acumen and using data to tackle the business challenges and create tangible value.
