Jou-Tzu Kao graduated from the Soochow University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2014. After graduation, she started her career as a teaching assistant at Soochow University. During this time, she taught courses such as calculus, financial management and statistics.
The financial management course she taught required students to analyze a company’s financial performance by evaluating the financial reports. The report gave Jou-Tzu the opportunity to become familiar with different industry fields. This made her more sensitive to abnormal digits and be able to convert those figures into meaningful results.
Purdue’s Business Analytics and Information Management (MS BAIM) program combines information technologies and analytical techniques together in a series of curriculums in a pragmatic, quantitative angle. Jou-Tzu desires to equip herself with the active, efficient, problem-solving abilities that every modern-day commercial enterprise demands in order to solve real world problems.
