Distinction in Economics Award and ODE Membership

Distinction in Economics Award

Each year, the Department of Economics identifies undergraduate students who have completed at least four upper division economics courses (300 level or higher), have attained at least a 3.5 grade point average across all economics courses taken, and have an overall GPA of at least a 3.0. Such oustanding students receive a certificate of Distinction in Economics and are recognized for their success in the classroom at an annual awards ceremony. Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE) Membership

Individuals who satisfy the criteria for the Distinction in Economics Award are invited to join Omicron Delta Epsilon, the international honor society for economics. Among the benefits of membership are a one-year subscription to The American Economist, the opportunity to submit papers for possible publication in the same journal, and the opportunity to submit a paper for the Frank W.
