Welcome to the website of the Finance Area at Purdue University. Our area has a long tradition of excellence in both research and teaching.

We are currently ranked #23 worldwide by the number of articles published annually in the top four recognized academic journals of finance: The Journal of Finance, The Journal of Financial Economics, The Review of Financial Studies, and The Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. Alumni from the finance programs have established themselves in business as well as in the academic community. The Financial Times recently rated Krannert's finance area as the 7th best in the world, based on alumni recommendations. Students and recent graduates surveyed by the Economist Intelligence Unit for its publication Which MBA? ranked the finance area 5th best in the world based on teaching quality, content, and practical relevance.
