| Program Summary
The primary purpose of the MSHRM program is to train high-caliber OBHR professionals for the competitive and changing business arena. The program integrates the theories, concepts, and empirical evidence of the behavioral sciences with knowledge about the organizational functions and management. Courses range from micro-level topics such as individual behavior in organizations to macro-level topics such as advanced labor economics and organizational theory.
The MSHRM program offers a unique plan of study that combines more HR course work than a traditional MBA program and more business than the traditional Industrial/Labor Relations (ILR) degree. In fact, Krannert is one of the few top business schools in the world that takes this approach. In recent years, the advantages of an interdisciplinary approach have been increasingly recognized which is why many of the top “HR” companies in the US recruit here.
