Goals:
To give students a hands-on experience designing and operating small-scale logistics systems.

Features:
Operations: Practice and Models will be a "learn-by-doing" course that focuses on decision making tools in the context of supply chain management.  Each week, student teams (about 4 members/team) will run a mock supply chain which could be either a computer simulation or a physical representation.  Operational and planning decisions will be based on a combination of mathematical programming models, simulation experiments, inventory models from MGMT 664, and common sense.
