Bill Kassling is Chairman of Wabtec Corporation, a leading manufacturer of a broad range of products for locomotives, freight cars and passenger transit vehicles. The company also builds new locomotives up to 4,000 horsepower and provides aftermarket services. He has served as President and CEO of Wabtec and led a management group in the purchase of the company from the parent company American Standard Incorporated.

Mr. Kassling has had a distinguished career that includes operating and strategic planning positions in senior management at American Standard, Clark Equipment Company, Boston Consulting Group and Parker Hannifin Corporation, and as an Officer in the United States Navy. Mr. Kassling holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago and Bachelors of Science degree in industrial management from Purdue University. He has also received an honorary doctoral degree from Purdue University in 2005.

In addition to Wabtec, Kassling is a board member of Parker Hannifin Corporation, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Texas Rangers and SmartOps Corporation. Kassling is also a member of the advisory board of the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute.
