Eileen Bedell's career has been distinguished by her strong record of business innovation in large corporations, the consulting industry and in private equity investments. Currently, she owns Hudson Valley Health & Tennis Club. This is the latest in a series of small businesses she has started and owned.
Ms. Bedell was a Partner at Accenture until her retirement in 2002. She served as a client partner and ran several of the firm's North American practices for banks, capital markets and insurance companies.
Prior to Accenture, she has been a strategy partner at Booz Allen & Hamilton, a partner at Greenwich Associates, a Managing Director at Bankers Trust and an officer of Mellon Bank. Her primary focus in these roles has been in launching new business ventures within large corporations or within the consulting industry.
Ms. Bedell has served as the lead director on the Board of Liz Claiborne. She chaired and founded the Broken Wing Foundation and served on the Board of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of New York. She is a member of the Economic Club of New York.
Ms. Bedell is a graduate of Purdue, where she received Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Industrial Management and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Administration, all in 1974. She was named a Krannert Scholar. She was a Chi Omega and participated in many major campus organizations.
