Keith Pence is a self-employed consultant and investor.
Pence is a native of Liberty, Missouri. After graduating from Liberty High School he attended Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana graduating with a BS in Industrial Management in 1975. While at Purdue, Keith was active in a number of organizations including the Purdue Marching Band.
He returned to Kansas City and was employed by Hallmark Cards from 1975 to 1981. He received his MBA from Rockhurst University in 1985. Prior to his current activities Pence worked in product development for Faultless Starch/Bon Ami. As an investor he was an active manager with Franklin Associates and Cephas.
Pence has served on numerous civic and charitable boards including The Boys and Girls Clubs of Kansas City (currently active), Children’s TLC, the Wildwood Outdoor Education Center, The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art Council of Fellows, TMC Charitable Foundation, past member and treasurer of the board of Kansas City Public Television and past board member of Child Protection Center. Pence served as a member of the Rockhurst Regents; and is currently active on the Kansas University Advancement Board and the Alumni Board of Krannert School of Management at Purdue University.
His personal interests include civic and charitable work, photography and scuba diving.Pence lives in Leawood, Kansas with his wife, Margi. He has three children.
