Dear Alumnus,
In 1996, the Alumni Mentor Program was launched to provide academic and professional guidance for the Krannert masters students (MBA, MSIA, MSF, MSHR).
The Krannert alumni are a valuable resource for guidance on career assessment, job search strategies, and networking. Your advice will provide a clear advantage to a student as he or she moves through the masters program. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop an association with students, share valuable business experiences, and gain exposure to the theories and research occurring at Krannert.
Each mentor is assigned to either one or two first-year or second-year student(s). Assignments are established in August and continue through the one-year or two-year curricula. The student initiates contact and works with you to develop an agreeable contact system and schedule. The time and effort required is minimal; your involvement would consist of an occasional telephone conversation or e-mail exchange.
To build upon the program's success, we invite you to become a part of the upcoming mentoring process. If you would like to be a part of the Alumni Mentor Program, please send an email message to Gloria Chen, with your name and address. We will then send you information and an application form. We will use this information you provide to match you with a student of similar interests, career goals, and background.
If you have questions about the Alumni Mentor Program, please contact feel free to contact me at gloria-chen@purdue.edu. We also welcome any suggestions you have for the continued success of the program.
Thank you for your time and continued support of Krannert.
Sincerely,
Gloria Chen
