Doctoral Consortium Workshop on International Operations Management

Purdue CIBER is pleased to announce the upcoming Doctoral Consortium Workshop in the field of International Operations Management to be held September 22-24, 2011. The consortium workshop is sponsored by the Centers for International Business and Educational Research (CIBERs) of Purdue University, Duke University, University of California at Los Angeles, University of Michigan, University of Pennsylvania, University of Texas at Austin, and University of Washington.

Led by faculty members of the sponsoring CIBERs, this consortium is chaired by Professor Ananth Iyer, the Susan Bulkeley Butler Chair in Operations Management and Director of the Purdue DCMME (Dauch Center for the Management of Manufacturing Enterprises) and GSCMI (the Global Supply Chain Management Initiative).

All doctoral students are invited to apply, especially those in the formative stages of their research agenda. The conference focuses on international issues related to the field of Operations Management with the expectation that such issues eventually will be incorporated in the teaching and research portfolios of participants.

There is no fee to register for the conference; however students must apply using the registration form on this website. Space is limited and acceptance will be based on strength of submitted support materials.Up to 25 students from major universities will be selected to participate. Purdue CIBER will cover two nights lodging (double occupancy) and food expenses for students during the conference. Attendees are responsible for their own transportation expenses.

The format will be a combination of presentations and discussions of case studies. We will have a strong line-up of program presenters. Please view the Agenda for detailed information.
