How have the scholarships helped you?
“I'm from
Puerto Rico, thus, financing my education has been a challenge
from the very beginning. Yet with the help of the
scholarships I have been offered, I've been able to focus on my
studies more, as I know there are people willing to help me and
my peers succeed through financial support.”
What are your plans for the upcoming summer?
“I accepted an offer to intern with Sears
Holdings Corporation in Chicago, IL."
Would you be at Purdue without BOP?
“Definitely not. BOP not only offered me financial help,
but also a network of people that have become like a family here
at Purdue.”
Where do you think you
would be professionally without BOP?
"It's hard to
say, but there is no way I would have had the opportunity to
grow professionally so fast and in a short period of time.
BOP helped me to be ready for college, but also to be ready for
the real world. I don't think I would have all this
knowledge if I had gone to a different business school and not
participate in BOP."
If you had the
opportunity to say something to the donors of your scholarship,
what would you say?
"Thank you for supporting students at Purdue University.
Your generosity truly makes a difference.”
