WELCOME THE 48TH CLASS OF THE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM

On Sunday, June 12, 2016, students traveling from as far as the Bronx, northern California, Detroit, Philadelphia, and St. Louis arrived in West Lafayette to begin their college journey at Purdue University through BOP.  Their first week was an amazing success.  During the annual outdoor challenge, BOP '16 successfully completed "the log" challenge faster than any BOP class since 2008!  Please wish them the best of luck at Purdue over the next four years and welcome them into our BOP family!


PURDUE DAY OF GIVING UPDATE

On Wednesday, April 27, 2016, Purdue held its second annual Day of Giving.  The Purdue Day of Giving is an online fundraising event were students, alumni, faculty, staff, parents, and friends come together to grant opportunities and transform lives within 24 hours.  The day features hourly challenges, and this year, BOP had a few challenges of its own!  Thank you to EVERYONE who gave to BOP during the Day of Giving, including those individuals listed below who won our challenges!

  • The first person to donate at least $200 won a $50 gift card to Harry's - Maura Johnson
  • The first person to give at least $500 to the general BOP fund or a specific BOP scholarship won a $500 match - Walter Starghill
  • The first person to give at least $750 to the general BOP fund or a specific BOP scholarship won four tickets to a 2016 Purdue football game - Stephen Richardson, II
