Facility

The primary component of the BIAC will be a data center with research computing facilities. It will have the capability to collect, assemble, manage and provide authorized access to large amounts of business data. It will also include computing platforms that deploy technologies and software to facilitate data analysis, teaching, and development and testing of methodological innovations.

The data center’s basic architecture will be a cloud set-up with a network of servers and a full range of relevant software, with access strictly restricted to the center staff and appropriate faculty and students. In addition, there will be one or more highly secured, dedicated servers that specific companies may use to upload their data to be analyzed by the center.
