Spring Certificates Ceremony

MASTER’S SCHOLARSHIPS/AWARDS

DCMME Manufacturing & Technology Management Scholarships

DCMME made seven graduate student awards for the fall 2001 semester, with the collective average GPA of the group being 3.71/4.00. Award amount is $1,000 per semester, for a total of $2,000 during the 2nd year. Recipients were Ron Chauby, Paroon Chadha, Noel Marsden, Linda Miller, Naveen Pruthi, Neal Shah, and Ashish Johri.

DCMME awarded 20 MTM scholarships for the spring 2001 semester, to the following students: John Curtright, Eric Dulin, Xin Lance Fang, Fabian Gomez, Ravi Haldipur, Steve Havel, Jong Woo Hong, Maria Iancu, Linda Jankov, J. Todd Koning, Colin MacAlpine, Hector Pulido, Cindy Qui, Jorge Salazar, Arthur Stowe, Fidel Tamayo, Naoki Tani, Enrique Vasquez, Dan Worthing, and Jeremy Zu.

Michael and Jo Ann Allen

Graduate Award

This award is given annually to a second year MTM student who demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm for manufacturing management through participation in the Projects in Manufacturing course and the activities of the Operations Club. Dan Carney was named the 2001-02 academic year recipient and received a cash award of $1,500.

Ensign-Bickford

Manufacturing Scholarship

Ensign-Bickford Foundation gifted DCMME with an endowed scholarship in manufacturing to be awarded annually to a Krannert management student. This $500 award will alternate between the undergraduate BSIM/MM and graduate MBA/MTM programs. The first MTM scholarship has been awarded to Dennis Maier.

Philip Morris

Manufacturing Scholarship

Philip Morris has given three $3,000 master’s level scholarships in Fall 2001 to first year students who are interested in operations or manufacturing management. DCMME is pleased to announce Paul John, Sean Lamborne, and Bradena Payne as this year’s recipients.

Undergraduate DCMME Manufacturing

Management (MM) Scholarships

DCMME made 13 undergraduate student awards for the Fall 2001 semester, with the collective average GPA of the group being 3.5/4.00. Award amount is $1,000 per semester, for up to four semesters, totaling a maximum of $4,000. Students may apply at the end of their sophomore year. Fall 2001 Recipients were Kristen Bailey, Robert Brown, Tara Emery, Melissa FitzSimons, Sean Gray, Matthew Hall, Tricia Henderson, Jan Martin, Varun Poddar, Jonathan Rundle, Leslie Strezo, Timotius Sugianto, and Betsy Weissinger. DCMME awarded 19 scholarships to the following MM students in the Spring 2001 semester: Kristen Bailey, Robert Brown, Omer Chaudry, Tara Emery, Mellissa FitzSimons, Tata Goeyardi, Sean Gray, J.B. Gerhart, Matthew Hall, Brian Hemmerly, Tricia Henderson, Varun Poddar, Jennifer Ryan, Fenny Setiadinata, Elvin Simpson, Lindawaty Soelistio, Leslie Strezo, Jane Tanuwidjaja, and Matthew Welke.

 

General Motors Manufacturing

Scholarships for Minorities and Women

The General Motors Manufacturing Scholarship Program provides financial awards to outstanding minority and women students majoring in the area of manufacturing. Applicants were evaluated on the strength of their academic performance, leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, and career and educational aspirations. 2001-02 recipients were Kristen Bailey,

Tara Emery, Jan Martin, Melissa FitzSimons, and Leslie Strezo.
