After receiving his MBA from the Krannert School of Management in May of 2007, Wayne Chan hopes to become a management consultant with a major consulting house and work within its aerospace and defense practice. He plans to utilize his advanced degrees, military experience, US Secret Clearance as a third-party consultant on government projects. His concentrations at the Krannert School of Management are operations management and strategic management. He is a member of the Krannert Graduate Student Association, Operations Club and Entrepreneurship Club.

 

Brent Horrocks

Brent Horrocks

Brent Horrocks is a second-year MBA student pursuing operations management and the MTM. He did his undergraduate work in Business Administration at Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management. Prior to returning to school, Brent worked at the O. C. Tanner Company, the world’s largest provider of corporate recognition; his primary expertise is in process improvement. Brent was first place winner of the Krannert Operations Club Case Competition in 2004, and has been on the Dean’s list multiple times.

Bernadine Sierra

Bernadine Sierra

MBA Class of 2007
B.S., Business Administration, University of California, Riverside

Bernadine graduated from the University of California at Riverside in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She has worked for Pan Pacific Retail Properties, Inc., a real estate investment trust in Vista, California that owns and manages grocery-anchored shopping centers, for 9 years. She has worked in the Accounting Department as an Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Administrator and as a Special Projects Manager. She is currently a 2nd year MBA student focusing on operations and global supply chain management.

 

Charlie Kuo

Chien-Chun (Charlie) Kuo

B.S., Computer Science and Information Engineering, Tunghai University, 2001

Before joining Krannert, Charlie Kuo worked as project/account manager for a payment equipment manufacturer and served as an IT officer in army (Taiwan). Previous responsibilities include: overseeing ODM/OEM projects development, finding cost reduction solutions for mass production units, coordinating departments to minimize delivery time and inventory and managing Army Division IT systems. Specialization includes manufacturing outsourcing, product cost analysis and forecast/logistics planning. Intended area of study includes operations, strategy and supply chain management.

 

Ghazi Saleem

Ghazi Saleem

B.S., Aeronautical Engineering, U.S. Air Force Academy, 1992

Ghazi Saleem graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1992 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. After graduation, he was commissioned in the Pakistan Air Force as an engineering officer. He has worked with projects involving Lockheed Martin aircraft and Pratt & Whitney engines. Presently, he is pursuing his MBA with concentrations in Operations and Global Supply Chain.

When making the decision on where to go for his MBA, Saleem said, “I was looking for schools good in supply chain and operations. Krannert offers the best program in the field and is a MBA program with good reputation in engineering field. My preference shouldn’t be surprising considering my background. My assistantship with GSCMI and DCMME is a great opportunity to research supply chain and manufacturing issues, and the experience complements my MBA study.”

 

Rasheeda Washington

Rasheeda Washington

B.S., Business Administration, University of Tennessee, 2002

Washington completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of Tennessee. She majored in Logistics and Transportation after completing internships with International Paper, Saturn Corporation, and Sprint. Upon graduation she joined Limited Logistics Services as an outbound supervisor for the Bath & Body Works / White Barn Candle Company brands. Washington is a member of the Krannert Operations Club and president of the Krannert Graduate Society of Black Managers. She is currently concentrating in Operations and Manufacturing Technology Management.

Ganesh Kak

Bachelor of Technology - Indian Institute of Technology, India, 2001
From India, Ganesh completed his Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from IIT Kanpur. He then worked for 3 years with CitiFinancial and Max New York Life as a Business Analyst. He is currently pursuing his MBA at the Krannert School of Management with concentrations in Operations and Finance.

Justina Mikals

MBA Class of 2007
B.S., Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering Management, Miami University, 2000

Justina Mikals is a first-year MBA student pursuing operations management and MTM option areas. She did her undergraduate work in Manufacturing Engineering at Miami University. Prior to returning to school, Justina worked for Firestone Industrial Products Company as a regional sales engineer manager. Her primary responsibilities were developing annual sales goals for 10 industrial fluid power distributors in northeastern U.S. and Canada. In the summer of 2005 Justina began working on the GSCMI supply chain project with the Indiana Department of Transportation. She also competed on the 2006 Spring GSCM Case Competition team from Purdue.
