Born in Mexico City, where he studied his elementary school but later he moved with his family to San Luis Potosi. Ignacio has a BS in Industrial Engineering with specialization in Production Systems from the Technological Institute of San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

He worked 6 years in the start up of General tire Mexico Plant, but in 1982 he accepted a job in Cummins, Inc for the start-up of the Cummins’ Plant as an Assembly Quality Engineer.

Ignacio later spent time studying Finance at the Monterrey Technology Institute and obtained an MBA from the Pennsylvania State University.

Ignacio has worked in different areas in the Company. He was the Marketing and Sales Leader for the Mexico ABO for 4 years and later he led the San Luis Potosi Cummins Plant for 6 years. In 1998, he moved to Jamestown, NY to work at the Jamestown Engine Plant and he took over the Heavy Duty Operations leadership in 2001.

Last year, Ignacio was given the responsibility for the Engine Business Global Purchasing and Manufacturing Services.

Ignacio is married to Carmen Garcia and they have two children Ignacio & Maria, currently in the University.

Ignacio is attracted to continued education, teaching, community involvement, reading and oil painting.
