Scott Singer

Singer joined Pratt & Whitney in 1988 as an environmental engineer and held various Operations positions at P&W, Norden Systems and Sikorsky Aircraft. In 2004, Scott was appointed Director,

UTC Global General Procurement with responsibility for UTC’s global indirect procurement. In 2005, he was appointed to the Director, UTC Global Supply Management covering both direct and indirect procurement activities. In 2006, UTC Supply Management was awarded Purchasing Magazine’s Medal of Professional Excellence. In his current role, Scott is responsible for implementing sourcing strategies and executing supply agreements across all indirect categories, key aerospace commodities and commercial metals. He also chairs the UTC Supply Management Council which is comprised of the top level procurement executives from UTC’s seven Divisions: Carrier, Hamilton Sundstrand, Otis, Pratt & Whitney, Sikorsky, UTC Fire & Security and UTC Power. Procurement volume is $24B, $17B direct and $7B indirect. He is supported by a team of 58 supply management professionals based in North America, Europe and Singapore. Scott holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island and two Master’s degrees from the University of New Haven, CT.

Graduate in Production Engineering from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. Obtained Master’s degree in Engineering Business Management from University of Warwick, UK part of first batch of

IGDS, India. Last 23 years, he is with TVS Motor Company. He held several positions in Production Engineering, Product development, HR & TQM functions. He was a project manager for a successful development of a Moped. He was program manager for Mopeds. He moved into HR & TQM function in 1998. In his TQM role, played a key role in securing Deming Prize for TVS Motor. Last one year looks after the Group role for HR & TQM. Widely traveled, and attended several executive education programs in the leading universities. He served on the board of studies of educational Institutions, National HRD committee of CII. He was also a member of HR council for the Conference Board, Member of ASTO.

Married and blessed two sons. Elder son is pursuing undergraduate course in engineering at

University of Warwick, UK.

Doug Sabel

Doug has worked at Purdue University since 1987 after working for 13 years in the private sector in various purchasing positions most notably with Sysco Foods Corporation. Doug began his Purdue career in the purchasing department. He later moved to the office of contract and grant business affairs where he worked as the associate contract administrator for 15 years when he returned to purchasing in his current position. Doug serves on the president's advisory committee on merchandise, licensing and marketing which deals with supply chain issues related to Purdue's trademark licensing program. He is also involved in the formation of Purdue's sustainability program.
