Matthus (Matt) W. Joshua

Executive Director and Global Lead Electrical
Systems, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain
General Motors

Matthus (Matt) W. Joshua was appointed Executive Director and Global Lead Electrical Systems, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain, effective August 1, 2010. In this position, Joshua oversees GM’s global spend related to vehicle electrical components and systems and is responsible for the GM Supplier Diversity Program.

Joshua reports to Robert Socia, Vice President, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain.

Prior to his current assignment, Joshua was Purchasing Director, General Motors, Information Technology; responsible for the global IT hardware, software, and services buy.

He began his professional career at Allison Transmission Division (formerly GM) in Indianapolis; fi rst as an intern throughout his undergraduate studies and fulltime in 1999 in the Supplier Quality organization. Since then, Joshua has held various Supplier Quality and Procurement positions within Global Purchasing and Supply Chain.

Born on April 23, 1976 in Columbia, Missouri, Joshua earned a Bachelors of Science in electrical engineering from Purdue University.
