STAMINA2 is pleased to present a case competition organized by Krannert's Leadership Communication Studio and sponsored by Crowe Horwath. This unique team case event features short case prep time, business casual style, and great opportunities to meet and impress our judges from Crowe Horwath. Students will prepare and present in teams of 2. This competition is open to Freshman and Sophomore students across campus, but each team must have at least 1 current Krannert student.


Teams will receive the case packet 2 hours before their designated presentation time on day of the competition (Friday, Feb 9). Team preparation for the presentation is allowed and encouraged in the days and weeks preceding the competition. After the first round of team presentations has completed, judges will choose 4 teams to advance to the final round of presentation (The Final 4). For the final round, each of the Final 4 teams will receive a question/topic and get 20 minutes to prepare a brief response then present it. After the Final 4 presentations, judges will select the winning teams.

Team Requirements

For this event, students need to form their own teams of 2 students. STAMINA2 is open to any Purdue student on campus who is currently a Freshman or Sophomore, but at least 1 member of the team must be a current Krannert student.

Applications will close on Sunday, Feb. 19. The responses to the survey provided will be used as the primary means of selection, so applications should make sure to respond thoughtfully and seriously. Each team wishing to participate in STAMINA2 needs to apply with his/her teammate via the Qualtrics link. Applicants will need to identify their teammate, as admission to the competition will depend on the combined strength of BOTH teammates' responses.

    What can I expect from Crowe's Summer Leadership Program, Learn2Lead (L2L)?

    L2L is designed to provide leading students from select universities and colleges, the opportunity to learn more about Crowe's core values, energizing culture, and our client services. While having fun and developing yourself professionally, you will network with Crowe professionals and engage in a variety of activities. Over the course of two days, programming may include team building exercises, leadership presentations, and/or professional business skill workshops. These activities are aimed at educating you on the leadership qualities needed to excel in the consulting arena.

    Furthermore, by participating in L2L, you will also be evaluated and considered for future opportunities with Crowe including 2018 accounting internships as described below.

    Internship opportunities you will be considered for following Program:

    At Crowe, we believe that the primary function of an accounting internship is to familiarize students with public accounting through meaningful participation on a variety of engagements. As an Accounting Intern with Crowe, you will have the opportunity to work as a team member on diverse client engagements including manufacturing, not-for-profit, government, healthcare, education, construction, dealerships, food and agriculture, and financial institution clients. Our team of professionals continually strives to achieve value for our clients, our people and our Firm while at the same time adding value to the profession and the public trust.

    As an Audit Accounting Intern your primary function will be: Audit, review, and compilation of financial statements, assistance in the preparation of financial statements and application of GAAP, assisting with clients with routine accounting functions, and assisting to maintain relationships with key client personnel.

    As a Tax Accounting Intern your primary function will be: to participate in the examination, review, and compilation of tax returns; conduct tax research, consult with owners and managers of various organizations, and assist with special reviews relating to acquisitions, mergers, and sale of businesses. Student requirements for applying/participating in the Leadership Program:

    • Current sophomore or Junior (graduating in December 2018 - May 2019 with your 150 hours and seeking a spring 2018 or summer 2018 internship)
    • Minimum 3.2 cumulative and major GPA, 3.4 GPA preferred
    • Pursuing Degree in Accounting
    • Permanent resident and/or U.S. Citizen
