Benefits of Joining HBSA |
 |
|
Professional:
- Mentoring each member through their careers
- We are planning to develop a Big Brother/Sister
Program where Upper level students will be aiding
lower level students to focus through their careers
at Krannert.
- We will hold several Workshops:
- Resume
- Interview Skills
- Networking
- Job Fairs
- Every general Meeting, HBSA will invite corporate
speakers so they can share some of their experiences
in the business world with all of you.
- Senior students are going to receive guidance
from the Hispanic MBA students to have a better
understanding of the several options they could
have in either grad school or professional careers.
- Become the voice of the Hispanic students within
Krannert
- Hispanic students have gradually lost character
in the school of Management. Exemplifying handicap
positions include university activities such as
job fairs where there is a minimal search for
international students, statistically a 3 out
of 40 ratio. Our purpose is to lapse these figures
and provide more prospects for international students.
- We want to develop a compact affiliation with
Kay Henry, head of career services at Krannert
and CCO, reassuring a firmer place of duty at
Purdue.
- Networking (National & International)
- Create a database of members and alumni with
the objective of:
- Sharing information about different job
opportunities with national and international
context.
- Create a network of Purdue alumni to support
entrepreneurial activities in both South and
Central America.
Social:
- Community Service
- By participating in such activities, members
will develop a bond with the community that will
enrich their attitudes towards life and business.
- This will also give our members the opportunity
to give back to a community that is providing
them with a future.
- Network Gathering
- This provides a chance to create new relationships
that will be useful for future relevancies.
- Sport Events
- This will allow character bonds among individuals
that will deliver sportsmanship and a group personality.
