Human Resource Management refers to the practices and policies needed to carry out the personnel aspects of a management job; specifically, acquiring, training, appraising, rewarding, and providing a safe and fair environment for a company's employees.
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the leading voice of the human resource profession. SHRM provides education and information services, conferences and seminars, government and media representation, online services and publications to more than 175,000 professional and student members throughout the world. We are actively recruiting Purdue undergraduates throughout the spring semester.
Purdue's Student Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management has been nationally recognized as an Outstanding Chapter the past five years.
Our chapter emphasizes:
