Wines in Purdue and Indiana

 The Indiana Wine Grape Council - A nice starting place if you want to learn about Indiana wineries and events: wine tips, a very nice calendar of events, mailing list, brochures, etc. They are based in Purdue University!

 FS 470 - Wine Appreciation - This course is also available for MBA students! Here is a description: A study of wine production and marketing principles with an emphasis upon consumption responsability. Historical perspectives form the foundations for wine classification systems and traditional serving procedures. Cardinal scale sensory evaluations are conducted in relationship to various food pairings.

 GSIA Wine Club (Carnegie Mellon) Not very updated, but some useful info.

 GSB Wine Club (Univ. of Chicago) Just some basic information. Nothing else here.

 Kellogg Wine Club - Cork'n'Screw (Northwestern Univ.) Quite active and a newsletter coming in October.

 The Johnson School Wine Club (Cornell Univ.) A very nice Flash intro with jazz music. Active and updated! They have even a Yahoo message board.

 Fuqua Wine Club (Duke Univ.) Not too much info. Some interesting events, though.

 HBS Wine and Cuisine Society (Harvard) Not updated but they have a huge list of links.

 Stern Wine Cellar (NY Univ.) Not too much info again. Some events' descriptions.

 Anderson Wine Club (UCLA) No updates and lacks useful information.

 Cork & Barrel Club (Vanderbilt) Updated with a list of the many events they have through the year.

 Wharton Wine Club (Univ.of Pennsylvania) One of the best sites have seen so far.

 

Wine Magazines & Newspapers

 Jancis Robinson: she is one of the most famous and independent wine writers. Some good information is available in her free website: http://www.jancisrobinson.com (updated weekly.) Her books, The Oxford Companion to Wine and The World Atlas of Wine, are like Wine Bibles for Britons.

 Wine Country Living Wine Country Living Magazine, formerly Appellation, covers wine, food, home entertaining, travel, interiors, gardens and more (paid).

 Wine Spectator The famous magazine now online. Comprehensive information, featuring news, columns, discussion boards, ratings, and tasting descriptions of thousands of wines. Some content requires a paid subscription. (1-year full access $50)

 Robert Parker Online Free content includes a vintage chart, a daily tasting note, and a discussion forum. Paid subscribers can search for tasting notes and articles from past issues of The Wine Advocate. (subscription for one year $99)
