center conferences - Two opportunities each year!

The Dauch Center for the Management of Manufacturing Enterprises (DCMME) and the Global Supply Chain Management Initiative (GSCMI) host two conferences each year - one in the spring and one in the fall.

The spring conference focuses on global supply chain management issues while the fall conference topics concentrate on manufacturing and operations.

2009 Spring Global Supply Chain Management conference

Tumultuous changes in demand and supply, broad swings in the exchange rates, and global government interventions; uncertainty in how to conduct, maintain and even grow business seems to be on the minds of every executive in nearly every sector. The Dauch Center for the Management of Manufacturing Enterprises and the Global Supply Chain Management Initiative hopes to help put the pieces together as we share with conference participants the issues and best practices across industries and around the world.

On February 6, 2009, industry leaders, researchers, field practitioners and students will gather to exchange perspectives on the conference theme,

“New Challenges in Managing the Global Supply Chain”

Keynote speaker, Margaret Bishop, will offer a unique perspective in not only managing challenges, but doing so in emerging markets and third world countries. The event is hosted by the Global Supply Chain Management Initiative (GSCMI), and co-hosted through support from Purdue’s Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER).
