2007 Fall Operations Conference
Preparing students and researchers to meet the needs of globally competitive manufacturing is at the heart of Purdue's Krannert School of Management and the Dauch Center for Management of Manufacturing Enterprises and the Global Supply Chain Management Initiative. Annual conferences hosted in both the fall and spring enable the Centers to accomplish our mission of education, research and industry engagement in a tangible way.
The DCMME/GSCMI Centers were pleased to host the annual Fall Operations Conference in Rawls Hall, Friday, October 5th, 2007. Led by Center Director, Dr. Ananth Iyer, over 60 students, industry executives, Purdue Staff and faculty joined in to make the event a huge success.
This year's conference entitled "Engaging Suppliers to Ensure Manufacturing Competitiveness" provided an excellent platform for various industries and numerous faculty researchers to launch their ideas, concerns and conclusions on the topic, while students absorbed key learnings and established a broader understanding of related academics from their classrooms.
