Selected Biography
Gary Lehman is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Fairfield Manufacturing in Lafayette, Indiana. Prior to Fairfield, Lehman was managing director of The Cannelton Group, which provides operations and financial advice for private equity firms and closely held firms. He also has served as the president of Philips Lighting Electronics for North America, and president and chief executive officer of Advanced Transformer, a wholly owned Phillips Electronics NV subsidiary. Lehman was an executive with ITT Automotive, holding positions of senior vice president of operations and general manager of the Body Systems Division. He also held responsibility for manufacturing, sales, and marketing functions at Federal-Mogul Corp., TRW Inc., and John Deere.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from Purdue University in 1974, Lehman obtained an MBA from Case Western University, where he was the recipient of the Eaton Scholarship. Lehman serves on the boards of several civic organizations, and is currently the chairman of the Dean’s Advisory Council, Krannert School of Management, Purdue University.
