There are several scholarships
available to qualified freshmen, sophomores, juniors,
and seniors. Please view the Scholarship
Resource Center more information.
Donor Scholarship
Agreement
-
Establishing a scholarship in the School of Management at Purdue
University can be done by completing a Scholarship
Agreement Form. We would like to encourage any prospective donor
to call the Office of Development at
765-494-9057 or 800-893-4108 for guidance in completing the form.
-
The completed document should be sent to the address at the bottom
of the form along with a check or money order made payable to the
Purdue Research Foundation. Gifts made by credit card will need to
be made through the Office of Development.
-
The Scholarship Agreement may be modified at a future date, if
desired, but only after an award cycle has been completed in which
the current criteria was advertised.
-
If there are any questions regarding the criteria to be used, you
may contact the Office of Development for
assistance.
-
The minimum scholarship award is $500.
Endowed Scholarships
-
An endowment is a gift that is held in perpetuity and invested
in a manner that protects the principal from inflation. The investment
income provides a stable funding source for such purposes as scholarships,
professorships, lecture series, and research centers. Endowments
increase Purdue’s institutional autonomy and provide it with
the resources it needs to stay at the cutting edge. Endowment donors
have the opportunity to have a lasting influence on the University’s
character and to honor or memorialize loved ones, friends, colleagues,
teachers, or other individuals.
-
A minimum of $20,000 will establish an undergraduate scholarship
endowment (a minimum of $25,000 for a graduate scholarship endowment)
and can be funded over a five-year period, using cash, securities,
and personal or real property. Income received from the endowment
will be added to the principal until such time that the principal
reaches the minimum amount needed. Thereafter, the income will be
used to fund scholarships, with the minimum scholarship being $500.
-
Specific tax and financial benefits that can be received as a result
of a gift will depend on what type of asset you give and how it is
transferred to the University. We recommend an attorney or accountant
be consulted for advice on the legal and tax implications of any
gift that is made.
-
Contact the Office of Development for
more information or to receive our “Endowments and Planned
Gifts” brochure.
Annually-funded Scholarships
-
An annually-funded scholarship may be of any amount (with a minimum
being $500 each); may be given to any number of recipients; and be
named for the donor, a business, or in honor or memory of a person
designated by the donor.
-
The Scholarship Agreement form must be completed and sent to the
Office of Development at the address at the bottom of the form along
with a check made payable to Purdue University or the Krannert School
of Management.
