Dr. Burr is a Continuous Term Lecturer in the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. His teaching includes both Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship. Dr. Burr has been with Purdue University since 2001 when began to pursue his Ph.D. while
working full time in Purdue's Discovery Park as an IT manager. In 2009, Dr. Burr took a Visiting Assistant Professor position with Consumer Sciences and Retailing teaching selling and sales management before joining Krannert.
Following his masters, Dr. Burr took a position with DuPont where he worked for ten years. In his last position he was business manager for implementation of a new business model in the CorianŽ division where he was previously commercial marketing manager.
While at DuPont he held roles ranging from sales to international business strategy consulting. During this period he had the opportunity to work in approximately 30 different countries and consult with brands such as TeflonŽ, LycraŽ, DacronŽ and business
units ranging from engineering polymers, to crop protection, to packaging.
His degrees include a Ph.D. in Strategic Management with a minor in Finance, a Masters in Science in Industrial Administration, and a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
