 Jack and Cheryl Coffin Academic Speakers Series

The free exchange of ideas is the foundation upon which knowledge expands and is disseminated.  The purpose of the John (Jack) and Cheryl Coffin Academic Speakers Series in the Krannert School of Management is to stimulate this exchange with faculty members and students by attracting to campus scholars working at the frontiers of knowledge in various disciplines.

The John (Jack) and Cheryl Coffin Academic Speakers Series seeks to highlight the vast depth and breadth of knowledge that faculty share with their students.  The speaker series is designed as a forum to share knowledge and the practical application of research and theory.

The John (Jack) and Cheryl Coffin Academic Speakers Series provides excellent opportunities for faculty and students to:

  • learn examples of successful translation of intellectual insights into publishable contributions;
  • have a forum for understanding the process of examination and evaluation of potential ideas;
  • enrich their scholarly experiences;
  • become more visible to and to network with established scholars and researchers;
  • share their research ideas with the series speaker in private one-on-one sessions; and
  • enhance the scholarly research reputation of the Krannert School.

Seminars are open to faculty and Ph.D. students from around the university who might share similar interests.  In addition to providing a seminar, series speakers will spend one-on-one sessions with faculty and students.
