Corey L. Wilson earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University and a master of business administration from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University.
His professional career has afforded him to the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of industries including: Sports Marketing; with NIKE, Health Care; with the Marion County Health Department; Government; serving on the staff of Lieutenant Governor Kathy Davis; Transportation; as Director of Supplier Diversity & IND AeroVision with the Indianapolis Airport Authority. Currently, he serves as Associate Vice President of the Professional Edge Center on the campus of the University of Indianapolis. The Center helps students and recent graduates launch their careers by linking them with opportunities for mentoring, networking, internships, and rewarding careers.
He has a long standing commitment to civic leadership, more specifically, at the age of 11 he served as a volunteer for the “Shoes for Children Program” which annually provided over 3,000 pairs of shoes to children during the Christmas season. Wilson became chairman of the program at the age of 17. He has also served as chairman of the Indiana Black Expo Elected & Appointed Officials Reception and currently serves as chair of the Beautillion Militaire Scholarship Program; a 16 week educational and scholarship program aimed at providing high school junior and senior males with the skills necessary to succeed in life.
He proudly serves as chair of the Eskenazi Health Center Board of Directors and serves on the Board of Directors for the 100 Black Men of Indianapolis and IndyHub which focuses on providing resources for millennials to learn about and become part of Indianapolis.
He has received several honors including:
