Ben NovyVice President of Human Resource Operations
Vail Resorts Ben was named Vail Resorts Vice President of Human Resource Operations in May 2010. In this role at the world’s premier mountain resort company, Ben leads the HR function for all operational teams across Vail Resorts twelve mountain resorts including 26,000+ employees throughout mountain, hospitality, retail, real estate, media, corporate office and international lines of business and also leads the company’s employee relations and HR merger and acquisition strategy and functions. He joined the company in August 2006 serving in a number of roles since that time including Senior Director of HR for the hospitality and real estate divisions. Previously, Ben held various HR management roles with Weyerhaeuser, TRW and Northrop Grumman in the United States and the UK. He graduated from Purdue’s Krannert School of Management with a B.S. in Management and from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina with an M.S. in Human Resource Management. Ben serves on the HR advisory board at the University of South Carolina and works with the Colorado Make-a-Wish Foundation. Ben and his wife Aaryn, a middle school art teacher, and their two children Kameron (9) and Grant (5) live in Denver, Colorado.
