Women in Management Seminar
MGMT 390: Women in Management Seminar
"Build the life and career you want."
How do you plan for career goals along with life goals? What does a career look like? How will you effectively manage boundaries between life and work?
One of today's most important leadership skills is the ability to manage your career. The Women in Management seminar will provide you with a foundation for making sound choices that will support your future success. You will learn skills, behaviors, and attitudes that can help you build the career and life you want.
Throughout the seminar, you will discover the many ways individual careers can unfold within the context of personal, family, and community lives. You will meet successful alumnae who will share their experiences and insights. Most important, you will learn about yourself through self-assessments and reflection, readings, and discussions. A key activity will be development of career visualizations that will help you learn from women's career journeys and start planning your own.
What Are the Benefits?
You will have the opportunity to:
- Participate in self-assessments and reflection that can help you know your strengths
- Understand ways you can take control of your own academic, co-curricular, and career choices
