Dr. Kearney holds the Chair for Leadership, Organization and Human Resource Management at the University of Potsdam. He teaches Leadership in Organizations in Purdue's IMM Global EMBA program.

Dr. Kearney's research on team management and leadership has been widely published. 

He has taught at numerous universities around the world such as Leibniz Universität Hannover, Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt Universität Berlin, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and FGV Rio de Janeiro.
