Ph.D., Mathematical Psychology, University of Southern California

Dr. Eppel holds a PhD in Mathematical Psychology from the University of Southern California. He teaches in the EMBA programs at Purdue University, and has taught at Pepperdine University and GISMA Business School. Since 1995, he has been teaching at the Paul Merage School of Business, UC Irvine.

Dr. Eppel has published numerous articles, book chapters and reports in the areas of decision and risk analysis, fields in which he also has considerable consulting experience. He authored a textbook and developed instructional software in statistics and has been widely recognized for his outstanding teaching. His teaching awards include the R.B. and Mary Stewart Distinguished Teaching Award at Purdue University and an award for Innovation in Teaching from the University of California at Irvine, as well as several awards given by students. Most recently, he was selected as the 2015 Outstanding Professor in Purdue's EMBA program.
