Frans de Roon is Director of the Finance LAB at TIAS School for Business and Society at Tilburg University in The Netherlands, and teaches in Purdue's IMM Global EMBA program. He holds a chair in Finance (Investments) at Tilburg University. He is associated scholar of the European Institute of Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM).

Previously, Dr. de Roon was vice dean of research at Tilburg School of Economics and Management, and until 2010 he was member of the board of Netspar, as director of partner contacts. From 1996-2000 he was affiliated with RSM Erasmus University, where he was also the director of the Rotterdam Institute of Financial Management.

He consults on business valuation and investments, and is currently on the supervisory board of Tahal International. Dr. de Roon is published in leading academic journals, such as Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, and Management Science.
