Laszlo Urban

Dr. Urban has taught in Purdue's IMM Global EMBA program at the Krannert School of Management since 2007 and has been a Visiting Adjunct Professor at CEU Business School in Budapest, Hungary, teaching in the fields of finance and banking.

He graduated from Budapest University of Economics in 1982, earned his university doctorate also there in 1985. 

During the first decade of his professional career he taught business economics and political economy at ELTE University of Budapest and at the Budapest University of Economics and during that period he also studied as visiting fellow at the UC Berkeley Business School (1988-89) and at the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University (1992-93). He completed the AMP program of Harvard Business School in 2000.

Between 1995 and 2011 he worked at several banks in Hungary, U.S. and UK in senior positions. He was visiting fellow at The World Bank (1995-96), Head of planning and control at ABN-AMRO Bank in Budapest (1996-98), Vice President and Product Manager at Citigroup (in New York 2000-2005), Director at the central bank of Hungary (2006), Chief Financial Officer of OTP Banking Group (2007-2009) and member of the board of EBRD in London (2010-2011).
