Professor
Zhao’s teaching interests are business analysis, supply chain management,
and healthcare supply
chains/operations. Her research focuses on
collaboration in decentralized supply chains, information asymmetry, and healthcare
supply chains with particular interests in pharmaceutical distribution/supply
chains, and hospitals and clinics operations. Professor Zhao’s
research has appeared in leading journals such as Management Science, Operations
Research, Naval Research Logistics, and Interfaces. Prior to joining the faculty
of Krannert, Professor Zhao worked with the Technical Assistance Program of
Purdue University to provide technical expertise and consulting services to
Indiana businesses and government. She has also worked with Caterpillar and
Proctor and Gamble. She is a member of INFORMS, MSOM, POMS, and IIE. She is also
a member of the
Academic Council for Healthcare Supply Chain Research for
AHRMM (Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials
Management).
