Krannert alumni return to campus as Purdue Old Masters

Management alumni Marshall Larsen and Barbara Smith returned to campus and met with Krannert students, faculty and staff during the 2013 Purdue Old Masters celebration.

Larsen has an undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy and an MSIA degree from Krannert. He joined Goodrich in 1977, and served as CEO, president and chairman from 2003-2012. He was named one of the “100 Best-Performing CEOs in the World” by Harvard Business Review for the long-term value he added to his company. He currently serves on the board of United Technologies Corp. and is a member of the Krannert Global Strategic Advisory Council and the Dean’s Advisory Council.

Smith has an undergraduate accounting degree from the Krannert School. She has more than 24 years of experience in international and domestic business activities, and currently serves as chief financial officer and senior vice president of Commercial Metals Co. She has held upper‐level management positions at Alcoa, Faro Technologies and Gerdau AmeriSteel Corp. She also serves on the board of Minerals Technologies.
