Purdue SHRM Chapter
Places Sixth in Nation
Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
chapter placed sixth out of 119 schools competing
for the national society's Merit Award, which
recognizes chapters for outstanding activities
and programs in four areas:
support of the professional development of members
support of SHRM
support of the profession
operation of the chapter
chapter was recognized for its accomplishments
at the 53rd Annual SHRM Conference and Exposition
in San Francisco, Calif., June 24-27.

Purdue Chapter of the Society for Human Resource
Management (SHRM) sponsored three fundraising events this
spring. The funds raised were donated to two important
causes, the Juvenile Shoplifter Offender's Program (JShOP),
administered by Mediation Services of Tippecanoe
County, and a scholarship fund that will be used to finance
an undergrad-uate's trip to the SHRM National Conference
in June. Proceeds totaled more than $2,500.
Silent Auction was held in conjunction with an End
of Module Celebration sponsored by the dean's office
and the Krannert Graduate Student Association (KGSA).
Overall, proceeds exceeded $900.
