AACSB International extends accreditation
The International Association
to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB
International) has extended accreditation of the
Krannert School for an additional six years.
The report gave Krannert
high marks, stating, "It is a well-managed school
that is headed by strong and resourceful leadership.
Students appear pleased with their learning opportunities
and developmental support."
Among the strengths the
AACSB listed were Krannert's German International
Graduate School of Management and Administration
(GISMA); the International Master's in Management
(IMM); Krannert's doctoral education program; the
school's many research centers; Rawls Hall; Krannert's
Business Opportunity Program, information technology;
and team learning. |

better promote Krannert, the school now has a new URL: www.krannert.purdue.edu.
Krannert
e-mail addresses are affected by the change as well; addresses should
be updated to replace "mgmt" with "krannert," as
in "name@krannert.purdue.edu." |

| Conference
addresses money, finance issues
Krannert's department of economics, the
Central Bank Institute of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland,
and Economic Theory sponsored a conference titled "Recent Developments
in Money and Finance" at Purdue May 2-4.
The conference brought together some of
the top scholars in the field of monetary theory and was associated
with a special issue in Economic Theory with the same title. The
issue was edited jointly by the late Bruce Smith and Prof. Gabriele
Camera, economics, both of whom organized the Purdue event. |
| Former
Krannert professor passes away |
Former
faculty member Suresh Konda, organizational behavior and human resources,
has passed away. Konda was a member of Krannert faculty during the ’80s
and was also the director for the Krannert Computing Center .
He went on to take a position with the Software Engineering Group at Carnegie-Mellon University and
remained there until his death in May. |
