Macias, Sheremeta honored for research
Krannert PhD students Antonio Macias and Roman Sheremeta have been named the recipients of the Robert W. Johnson Award for Distinguished Research Proposal.
Macias was honored for his 2008 Purdue Research Foundation (PRF) proposal titled “The Role and Impact of Material-Adverse-Change Clauses (MACs) On the Mergers-and-Acquisition Process.” Sheremeta was recognized for his 2008 PRF proposal titled “Contest Game Between Heterogeneous Groups: Experimental Design and Preliminary Evidence.”
The Krannert dean’s and doctoral programs’ offices give the award to increase both the internal and external recognition of outstanding doctoral student researchers.
The award is based on the merit of the PRF proposal, which is ranked by separate panels of faculty members for economics and management.
