Master's Job Fair

Master's Job Fair

Last October, the Krannert Master's Job Fair drew approximately 300 students seeking both internships and full-time positions. "In this tough economy, we were pleased to have 29 companies representing a variety of industries participate," said Jeanne Baum, recruiting coordinator for Krannert Graduate Career Services.

Krannert Ambassadors Can!

Krannert Ambassadors

The Krannert Ambassadors brought their usual "can-do" spirit to the annual Halloween Trick-or-Can community service event. The costumed Krannert crew collected 571 canned goods and other items for the Salvation Army food banks despite some friendly competition from other Purdue organizations collecting food in the same neighborhoods. Counting their bounty, from left, are Ambassadors Adrienne Gutwein, BSM ’06; Amy Nicely, BSIM ’06; and Tina Chen, BSIM ’06.

Krannert Celebrates 10th
Head Start Christmas party

A happy Head Start elf and a somewhat familiar-looking Santa celebrate the season with sweets, treats and smiles all around. Each year Krannert faculty and staff, in conjunction with Purdue’s Department of Agricultural Economics, provide a dash of winter festivity for children enrolled in the Head Start program. Area merchants also get in the spirit, donating gifts and goodies for the event.

Head Start Christmas Party

"This is our 10th year, and it’s something we all look forward to," said Barbara A. Strueh, manager of facilities and support services at Krannert. And the guy in the red suit? Prof. Chris Berger, organizational behavior and human resources, reportedly served as Santa’s stand-in at the event (but don’t tell the kids).
