Cain, Zhang honored for research
Krannert PhD students Matt Cain and Jingjing Zhang have been named the recipients of the 2006 Robert W. Johnson Award for Distinguished Research Proposal.
Cain was honored for his Purdue Research Foundation (PRF) proposal titled “Valuing Mergers and Acquisitions with Fairness Opinions.” Zhang was recognized for her PRF proposal titled “Public Good Provision in Inter-group Competition: Effects of Asymmetry and Communication.”
The Krannert dean’s and doctoral programs’ offices give the award to increase both the internal and external recognition of outstanding doctoral student researchers.
The award is based on the merit of the PRF proposal, which is ranked by separate panels of faculty members for economics and management.
