Economics program earns high ranking
Krannert's doctoral program in economics ranked 31st among the top 58 world departments and 25th among departments in U.S. colleges and universities in a review by faculty at the University of Arizona and Warsaw School of Economics.
The ranking was included in February's Review of Economics and Statistics, which is published by the MIT Press and edited at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. Purdue was the only Indiana school that made the ranking, with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard, and Stanford University topping the list.
The ranking was based on the worth of doctoral programs in economics as reflected in their ability to place their graduates at top-level economics departments or business schools.
