The first admissions deadline is approaching rapidly approaching on November 15. Don’t worry, there’s still plenty of time to perfect your application. Here are a few tips to help you shine with the admissions committee:
1. Be Thorough: One of the best ways to make your application stand out is to ensure it is complete and accurate before hitting submit. A careful review of our application instructions will make sure the processing is not delayed due to mistakes or incomplete information on the application. Also, it’s always a good idea to follow up with your recommenders to ensure they have submitted their letters and comments online prior to the deadline. It’s also important that official copies of your transcripts and test scores are received by our office prior to the deadline. Please see our application requirements page for more information.
2. Be Original: Make sure to highlight your unique skills and experiences throughout the application. We are interested in a lot more than test scores, and want to know about your work/internship experience, volunteer work, hobbies, passions and reasons for wanting to earn your MBA at Purdue. Try to offer as many details as possible while telling a genuine and original story.
3. Be Patient: It’s tempting to want to contact the admissions office to ensure all components of your application have been received. However, it’s best to give us some time to review all applications in a systematic fashion. While you are always welcome to contact our office for more information about our programs, or to schedule a campus visit, calling or emailing to check on application status can cause delays for everyone. Please rest assured that we will contact you via email, should we be missing anything for your application. If you have any specific concerns about your application it’s best to contact us via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org
