Prasad earned a Bachelor’s of Engineering degree from Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology with majors in Electronics and Telecommunication. He also received a Master’s of Management studies degree (MBA equivalent) from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, specializing in the field of Marketing. Thereafter, he joined HDFC Bank as a Relationship Manager in the Sales division and was responsible for managing investment portfolios of High Net Worth individuals. Later, as a Sales and Marketing Manager at Precision Steel Tube Manufacturing Co., he managed the sales, marketing and procurement for the company.
For 2 years, Prasad worked on utilizing data to predict future needs, making informed decisions, and evaluating performance. For instance, as Relationship Manager he was working with large data obtained from the product team on which customers to target and with specific offers to individual customers based on the profitability of the customer.
Prasad is fascinated when technology, analytics and business decisions come together to execute a strategy. At the Krannert School of Management, Prasad aims to blend his competencies in business strategy, sales and marketing with deeper understanding of data analytics to help companies make informed decisions. In future, he would like to work on analytical problems in the field of Marketing, Supply Chain and Strategy.
