Sanchit has a degree in Material Science and Engineering from IIT Kanpur. Post-graduation, he started working with Flipkart, an Ecommerce unicorn of India, as a graduate trainee. As part of Flipkart's supply chain division, Sanchit worked on various projects ranging from capacity planning, efficiency enhancements and layout designing as well as managing operations during big sale events. He was also a part of the category retail team for a span of 6 months where he worked on selection refining and seller operations. After a 2-year stint in the Ecommerce domain, he joined a political consulting firm whose client was the largest political party of the country. While at Association of Billion Minds he worked on voter profiling and its impact on the campaign strategy. Later, he worked on determining the political mood of the public and translating it into specific campaign strategy insights.
Sanchit experienced the real power of data during his time at Flipkart. Flipkart employed business analytics to drive almost all decisions and in the process, gave some startling observations about its consumers. While working on these large and complex datasets, Sanchit was fascinated and in turn motivated to take the next step in the field of Analytics, and hence decided to pursue a Master’s in the field of Business Analytics and Information Management.
Sanchit wishes to delve more into the field of sentiment analysis and predictive modeling, and contribute towards research in these fields while simultaneously helping businesses understand and influence consumer behavior like never before.
