Rishabh graduated from Panjab University, Chandigarh with a bachelor degree in pharmaceutical Sciences. Industry exposure from various internships enabled him to understand process development, applied statistics, scale-up logistics, and quality control techniques that are organic to real world business establishments. Diverse experiences played a crucial role for him in receiving an offer to pursue a Ph.D. with a full scholarship at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, focusing on cancer research.
During his graduate career, Rishabh realized that healthcare in general and the pharmaceutical industry in particular is undergoing a paradigm shift to streamline business processes, to mitigate risk, and to bring novel products to the market. This sparked his interest in analytics, and he applied to the MS BAIM program at Purdue University, and was thrilled to be accepted.
Going forward, Rishabh wants to contribute, as part of a team that applies analytics, machine learning and informatics to solve roadblocks and make informed decisions in business processes as well as in drug discovery. Eventually, he would like to see himself in a managerial role within big pharma.
